As many have observed, Christianity currently suffers from trying to identify itself by what's it stands AGAINST rather than the truth it stands FOR. This is the contemporary version of "I don't drink or smoke or chew or go with girls who do." This is why missional outreach (partnered with the gospel, mind you) can be so effective in radiating Christ's love through the members of the community.
ChrisAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21212024.post-8418146842848137392009-08-05T14:51:29.456-07:002009-08-05T14:51:29.456-07:00Do your people look like the resurrection, or mere...Do your people look like the resurrection, or merely the undead?

Ouch!olan stricklandhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05345193051857763038noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21212024.post-68297037133930452372009-08-05T11:01:41.079-07:002009-08-05T11:01:41.079-07:00Good post.

And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved." This is what we all should look like. The first church had favor with all the people. We know that the message of the Gospel is offensive to unbelievers, but when we live like Christ then we love like Christ loved.

Galatians 6:10 "So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith." This is not a social gospel, it a call to be like Christ, then preach like Christ, submitting to the Holy Spirit's work in the hearts of the hearers!Tim Nixonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07971124134997781658noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21212024.post-84045692760448796352009-08-05T09:41:02.054-07:002009-08-05T09:41:02.054-07:00You've raised an issue that I'm having a h...You've raised an issue that I'm having a hard time reconciling.
