Solameanie: "Phillip has been conspicuously absent on this comment line."

This style of humor is just too mean-spirited for me. I'm waiting for "Emerging Grace" to weigh in with something really sweet, and then I'm going to write a "me too" comment talking about how bad the rest of you are.

Phil,

Ouch! (smile)

Oddly enough, I was actually thinking about posting a mock outrage column just for the purpose of additional tweakage, but my tender conscience got the better of me.

I am now going off to read the book of Galatians again just to get my "edge" back.

You know, there was something I really wanted to post so badly I could taste it. However, it would have diverted things into the political arena, so I thought better of it. Then again, politics plays a role in theology these days, or so it would it seem. Maybe that's another tongue-in-cheek thread for another day.

On a more bizarre note, it's a very odd feeling when you're reading the writings of these avant-garde theologians and for some reason, the song "Brain Damage" by Pink Floyd comes into your head.

I'm so glad it's Friday.

Lee,

Just a slight amending of the lyrics...

"And if the church you're in starts playing different tunes..I'll see you on the dark side of the moon..."

Or better yet...

"the paper holds their muddled teachings to the floor..and every day the enemy brings more..."

I'd better stop this before I get sued.
