That post you link to "Live!" is for me one of the most challenging, convicting and encouraging posts I've ever read, on any blog.
Thanks, djp!
ditto what tomgee said.

This is why I am humbled to have DJP as my friend. That is serious, reflection-requiring, Gospel preaching.
Needed this, especially the linked "Live" story.
Great stuff, Dan!
Dan,
Being a newer Pyro reader, I hadn't seen your "Live!" post... so glad you linked it. That will take some digesting/reflecting.
Reminds me of Amy Carmichael, who said, "We shall have all eternity to celebrate the victories, but we have only the few hours before sunset in which to win them."

Ditto tomgee et al. This is one of the most awesome, helpful, challenging, encouraging, posts I have read ever - Thoughts like these often swirl in my head, and I get so discouraged with myself. I'm going to print this out and pray it through - if ever I needed grace in this time of need, it's now. Thanks so much for the post.
I liked the Live! article. God gets trophies as we fill up what is lacking in Christ's afflictions - just so long as we are careful to remember that in relation to his glory we are nothing more than the echo to his voice, or like the illuminated vapor trail to the comet. I also think in the life to come, any thoughts of this life will be eclipsed by the joy of seeing God's face and the memory of what Christ has done for us.
Dan,
Though different, the shortness of this post reminds me of something I've been missing...
"Next!"
Are you going to be doing any more of those?
Julie
Pray for inspiration for me.
