Give thanks!

by Dan Phillips

Psalm 100

A Psalm for giving thanks.

Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth!
2 Serve the LORD with gladness!
Come into his presence with singing!

3 Know that the LORD, he is God!
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him; bless his name!

5 For the LORD is good;
his steadfast love endures forever,
and his faithfulness to all generations.

You know, that wouldn't be a bad psalm to memorize.

Or sing.

Happy Thanksgiving, friends, from us to you.

"..we are His people.."

What an astounding thing to be able to say "Abba, Father."

Happy and blessed Thanksgiving to the TeamPyro amigos! Lord bless.

And will magnify Him with thanksgiving."

"For his steadfast love endures forever."

His covenantal lovingkindness to His redeemed people, enduring from everlasting to everlasting, vouchsafed by the propitiation for sins by the blood of the Messiah, shed upon Calvary's Cross! What greater gift can there be than this!

Happy Thanksgiving to our American brothers and sisters.

I confess - I have the hardest time believing in the depravity of man when I hear little children reciting God's Word. That clip just turned me to mush.

Happy Giving of Thanks Day to everyone. Isn't a a wondrous miracle that we know the Object of all the thanks so many are offering up to their ceilings today?

Rachael: so true!

We don't have a vague, unanchored, general "thankfulness" for this or that: by God's grace, we have real thankfulness to a real God for real mercy and lovingkindness!

I have to say, that though I've seen plenty of examples of early in life we exhibit our depravity, that clip also shows how powerful God's grace (or restraining hand... only God knows which when they're that age) is as well.

Those kids are adorable :)
