You may or may not have heard of Gut Check Press -- last year I wrote the foreword to their widely-read and widely-discussed Kinda Christianity. hey have published a couple of other things since then, but the follow-up to Kinda is a lovely little tome entitled Younger, Restlesser, Reformeder in which the other young people with a Christian/religious bent get a little of the same as their Emergent neighbors.
For the invasively-curious, the intro and outro music is by Chris Green, and it's called "Boogie 2.0". It's graciously provided royalty-free by Mevia/Music Alley at musically.com.

Just as a technical note. Portions of the audio did sound as though they were sitting in their parents basement.
May want to get that fixed for next time.

This was actually recorded using Skype rather than telephones, and to that end we used extremely cheap equipment. This was not Phil sitting down with Dr. MacArthur in the GTY studio knocking out 30 minutes on the role of elders in the local church.
I agree it needs work. I'd like to perfect the Skype technique as it has massive advantages over telephone.
FWIW, I think Zach was sitting to close to Ted (as is usually the case) and it was causing funny stuff to happen with the sound. Zach is also very loud -- I could have taped his part of the interview by putting a mic out my window and catching the echo in AR as he opined in Michigan.

Zach and Ted are right, Frank - you do have a radio voice. I noticed it on the Nines video. Actually, you sound a bit like Greg Koukl.
There was something really convicting for me when I heard the first 12 minutes of this. That was all I could take. I'm too snarky about error.
The spiritually dead emergent gospel is not dead yet. Many are still being turned upside down by it.

That's a strange bit of providence - awhile ago I was googling and stumbled across the Gut Check blog where I read the philosophical analysis posted of "Rocky IV". Brilliant stuff...
I agree that the YRR crowd is still fairly much in love with itself. That's one reason I don't really go for it... too crass for my tastes.
But maybe that's just b/c I'm Young, Reformed, and Confessional :).
YRR needs to grow up and join the rest of the reformed camp (and our various subcamps).
So, yes, YRR is in dire need of a good natured roasting ;).
This was great. And I even bought the book Younger, Restlesser, Reformeder from Amazon Kindle for $3.50. Very funny so far.
