Your weekly dose of Spurgeon

A mother's influence
"Fathers are all very wellGod bless them!and a father's godly influence and earnest prayers are of untold value to his children; but the mothers are worth two of them, mostly, as to the moral training and religious bent of their sons and daughters."

With love from all the PyroManiacs to all the mothers in our lives.

Okay, let's try that again....
I loved the words by Spurgeon. Sometimes, motherhood feels like two jobs.
At our church today, they made the mothers stand so they could be applauded (for being mothers, I guess). I was playing the organ, so no one noticed that I did not stand. Not a big fan of being applauded for something which I'm never entirely sure I'm good at.
I'll applaud Spurgeon, though, because he was definitely good with words.
