For the moms

A mother's influence

"Fathers are all very well—God bless them!—and a father's godly influence and earnest prayers are of untold value to his children; but the mothers are worth two of them, mostly, as to the moral training and religious bent of their sons and daughters."

C. H. Spurgeon

With love from all the PyroManiacs to all the mothers in our lives.

Okay, let's try that again....

I loved the words by Spurgeon. Sometimes, motherhood feels like two jobs.

At our church today, they made the mothers stand so they could be applauded (for being mothers, I guess). I was playing the organ, so no one noticed that I did not stand. Not a big fan of being applauded for something which I'm never entirely sure I'm good at.

I'll applaud Spurgeon, though, because he was definitely good with words.

Hi Phil,
I took your advice and 86ed the splash intro and the music. Would you be willing to give our site another look?

Even if you may disagree with us in some areas, it would be a tremendous honor to be listed in your bookmarks!
