For the moms

A mother's influence

"Fathers are all very well—God bless them!—and a father's godly influence and earnest prayers are of untold value to his children; but the mothers are worth two of them, mostly, as to the moral training and religious bent of their sons and daughters."

C. H. Spurgeon

Okay, let's try that again....

I loved the words by Spurgeon. Sometimes, motherhood feels like two jobs.

At our church today, they made the mothers stand so they could be applauded (for being mothers, I guess). I was playing the organ, so no one noticed that I did not stand. Not a big fan of being applauded for something which I'm never entirely sure I'm good at.

I'll applaud Spurgeon, though, because he was definitely good with words.
