Walk in space
by Phil Johnson
or most of the day, our friend and favorite rocketman Jeff Williams will be hanging around the outside of the International Space Station, doing maintenance work and whatnot. You can watch it live on NASA-TV. The images are mesmerizing. Jeff's wearing a helmet-cam, which shows us what he sees.
Pray for Jeff's safety when you think about him today.

Wow that looks dangerous. I bet its nice and cold there though.
Upon second look I think he's got a Team Pyro sticker in his hand ready for installation.
That is really cool. My youngest son saw me watching him on NASA TV and waved up at him.
This is very cool... but NASA should get him back inside the ISP so he can get back to what really matters... blogging at "Take Up and Read"! :)
You have no idea how boring my helmet cam would be. It would be stultifying.
Hey, I'm off duty today, and I can honestly say that a pec cam would reveal little more than the drive thru menu at Arby's and three episodes of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
"Oh A Policeman's lot is not a happy one."
I can't imagine! What an experience that must be.
Lord bless him, and the rest of the crew. Amen.
In the first photo, is that a midget onboard the ISP? If so, that makes a whole lot of sense since they take up less space and require less oxygen. Good on NASA for implementing such innovation.
Wow! Great photos. And yes, he is on the prayer list.
As an aside, I note with interest the very revealing spacesuits the astronauts are wearing. This has the very real potential of offending aliens who are spying on us from afar. I can well imagine what the residents of Planet Zorg are saying about the prurience of these Earth creatures.
Have we no shame?
