Today's e-mail brings this....
t appears Frank's pawn shop has competition from a more or less authoritative source:

Pheh. What does YALE know about RETAIL?
"authoritative source". These kids and their fancy piece of paper ...
I will also point out that there's no question: my shirts are less expensive.
And since when is CT a mark of excellence around here?
Have I protested too much yet?
No, keep going. This is funny.
It should also be pointed out that Frank's shirts are available in 2X (and higher than that, even)...
Sorry Frank, I like buying my merchandise from the source, kind of like buying a Major League Baseball cap directly from MLB instead of say, Dick's Sporting Goods. Besides, Yale and Retail rhyme. That's got to count for something...
Frank: Whatever you think of their shirt by comparison (and I agree that the quality and design of yours is superior while the cost is a full penny cheapernot to mention your superior assortment of size choices); you gotta admit: that's a seriously fantastic website.
I don't have to admit anything when my so-called friends start promoting some secularist junk shop over my own high-quality pawnables.
Now I have to scrap my plans to make a "Phil Johnson is my Homeboy" shirt because clearly, he's not -- he's a cheap date for anyone who sends him an e-mail.
I'm hurt, Phil: hurt.
Kubecki:
FOUR-X BABY! PACK A LUNCH!!!
unyan:
That's like saying, "I only buy PAMPERS because that's the BRAND NAME receptical for baby movements." Very impressive.
I'm gonna make some shirts that say:
YALE (big college-bowl letters)
WE WISH WE WERE HARVARD (strike Harvard)
Princeton (strike Princeton)
Cornell (strike Cornell)
TeamPyro
Booyah.
I admit it...I was wondering where J-to-the-E was in all your offerings, Frank.
But, be assured I won't be getting it...over there. (D'ruther go without...)
¡sbgtfa!
I wasn't kidding.
Cent, No Contest, by far you have more merch. than they do. It is an informative sight, over at Yale, but you are right, your shop rocks. Hey the other day you said a non-pyro person ordered shirts, was it Augustine? Just curious.
Yale shirts are great. I think that is so funny!!!
cent,
i can't see the yalie wannabees image.
UPDATED:
Yeah, it turns out that the Pawn Shop fulfillment organization has some sense of self-preservation. I got this e-mail sometime last night (I have gotten it before -- parody shirts apparently get a lot of scrutiny) which said (in a nice way) that "unofficial" merchandise is a non-starter at CafePress, and if I clicked thru to the site and check my image basket, I could see what they were talking about.
Well, it wasn't to hard to guess what the problem was. The Yale shirts have been tagged by them as "unofficial" merch and therefore blocked from the shop. It is sad, I know.
However, you can still get the joke here.
I hate it that you can't buy that shirt, but I also don't want to be sued over a couple of t-shirts. :-)
Frank, was that bitterness I heard?
...per your response to me up there a few rows back, that is :-)
I dunnno, unyan. Was that sarcasm in your original post?
Because if it was, then I can be bitter. But if it wasn't, I might owe you an apology.
;^)
Nah, I was just kidding. Don't be bitter. And I only use Huggies...
How about the possibility of a "Jack Hyles is/is NOT my homeboy" t-shirt? I am most certain that it would rank right up there with the Finney shirt as Hyles seemed to be a reincarnation of him... ;)
