o you've seen sidebar badges like these:
"Friend of Emergent" | "Friend of Discernment" |
"Friend of Detergent" | Friend of Missional" |
. . . and whatnot.
None of those really quite summed up the perspective our blog represents (and we suspect that's true for some of our readers as well), so Frank created a banner ad for the rest of us. After tweaking it ever-so-slightly, we're turning it loose on the blogosphere and inviting our readers and fellow friends-of-sinners to add it to their sidebars:

Feel free to download and use your choice of those images in the sidebar of your blog. (If you prefer, you can simply use the URLs where those images currently reside, and thus take advantage of our bandwidth.) We only ask that you not modify the images without first asking permission, and that you not put them on Websites with blatantly unwholesome material or use it as a link to anything you know we might find offensive. We're not going to try to police how it's used, but if we do find someone linking it to something we think is blatantly unwholesome, we reserve the right to withdraw permission for it to be used for that purpose. If you want to make it into a link back to this blog, we would be honored by that.

Pilgrim's Progress is hit. I like it.
Love it! Have been waiting for a real Pyro button :D
It is supposed to be a scene of Christian and Evangelist from Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress, right?
Friend of sinners...unless they are in the emerging church, right?
OK, for the html-impaired, how do I add a link to http://teampyro.blogspot.com by clicking on the image?

Can anyone help?

Real friends don't let friends drive pomo.
I think Frank even has a t-shirt to that effect.
Sharon:
In the blogger Dashboard, open your template. Look through the html for the place where the sidebar code begins. (It'll look like a lot of wierd text, but don't be intimidated. The sidebar code will be marked "sidebar code" or something like that.)
On the first BLANK LINE after your sidebar code starts, insert this command:
<a href="http://teampyro.blogspot.com/">
<img src="http://www.spurgeon.org/images/pyromaniac/TeamPyro/fos_lg.gif" title="Friend of Sinners" border="0"></a><P>
Save the template. Voila.

Well said.
My comment was tongue in cheek...I'm glad you caught it.
Thanks, Phil. I don't have a clue as to what all the HTML code meant, CRTL-C CRTL-V is a Beautiful Thing, and it worked perfectly! Much obliged!
Sharon:
Email me and I'll help you install the button :D
If you're using New Blogger it's done differently than Phil has described.

Love it - great work guys

Scratching my head...
Ok, finally I'm able to login... I sent you an e-mail in response to your comment :) Thanks for tracking me down.
Peace.
I'm liking the title of this post. You guys are my friends too, sinners, all. :)
Dern it all. I actually commented on the earlier thread first before I read this comment line. That'll learn me.
Phil, when I first opened up TeamPyro today and saw this post, I thought I was looking at alternatives for Alan Parsons' "Eye of Horus" logo for the "Eye in the Sky" album. Thanks so much. Now I am going to have the song "Sirius" on my mind all night.
Thanks for the button, added to my new blog at
reformedvoices.blogspot.com
Got mine! I used it to link back here 'cause y'allr smart-n-stuff.
Perfect. Using it; tinkering with it. Linking it back to here.
This picture would fit well on my blog, since I use that same picture for my header and as my central theme. http://peculiarpilgrim.wordpress.com
So, good choice! Unfortunately I don't think I can utilize it on my site until I actually hand some dough over to Wordpress, allowing me more creative freedom. Oh well, maybe sometime soon.
God Bless

Hmmm, so I guess that means you don't want me putting it on my EC-friendly blog, huh?
Rolling Stone: You’re saying it’s a living thing?
Bono: It’s a plumb line for me. In the Scriptures, it is self-described as a clear pool that you can see yourself in, to see where you’re at, if you’re still enough. I’m writing a poem at the moment called “The Pilgrim and His Lack of Progress.” I’m not sure I’m the best advertisement for this stuff.
