As if atheism is "reasonable." Those guys kill me.
I don't get Hugh Laurie. He's basically made a comment that would alienate, basically, billions. You'd think his agent would pull him aside and say, "hey, you want to work again, don't you?"
Talented and arrogant are so often partners, though, aren't they?
BTW, the formal inspiration for this came from Douglas Wilson in the Collision DVD. Doug observed that when a rationalist gives reasons for his position, he's just quoting verses from his Bible.

What utter nonsense, on both your parts. Neither one of your groups can even come remotely close to proving your particular point of view.
Your just men doing what men do, finding something to fight/argue/debate about.
If you take a peak throughout history i believe one would find the non christian is typically the less insane person on the lets argue about beliefs front. Though anyone who argues on the subject lost as soon as their lips started moving.

It's funny because God has to give Hugh a mind to reason with and air to breathe in order for him to come to the conclusion that any argument saying "God is" is unreasonable. And Hugh has to start from a standpoint that there is truth, which cannot be if his supposed presupposition is correct - that God is not. He has to "keleven" it to make it work.

I think it is more accurate to say that reason preserves truths, not is truth.
He lost me at "foot licker" ... but, then again, maybe I'm being unreasonable.
