There are a lot of under-rated blogs in the blogosphere. The most under-rated blog by a long shot is Steve Hays' Triablogue, which Phil has always linked in the sidebar.
Now that Steve has a gang-blog working, it's almost impossible to read all the stuff they are producing and it is also almost impossible to beat it all. Today, due to the topics at-hand at TeamPyro, I'd refer you to Gene Bridges' fabulous recent post on assurance and the local church.
Don't mess with Gene. He doesn't play.

I disagreed with Gene once. He ate me alive, and then spit me back out....alive. I'll never do that again.
Hello. I wandered over from Dominion Family. I'm curious...is it actually possible to get one's hands on that zippo lighter in the sidebar, or is it solely a Photoshop product?
Great stuff here Frank - Thank you!
Gene is a faithful brother and I appreciate him so much...

Thank you for the encouragement, Steve. That means a lot, coming from you. I admire your work from a far. Of course, I live in NC, so that could mean I admire your work from a burning building. ;~). I plan on actually seeing you in Greensboro, NC this year for the SBC. I'll be the one with half a right ear (literally, I have 1/2 a right ear...long story) busily taking notes during the Mohler/Patterson chat for blogging at the Tblogue.
Evan, to be fair the only reason I spit you back out alive is because you're kinda grissly...bit chalky to the taste too...hmmm, basically you're inedible. :~)
Oh, and this Evan May person we have over at the Tblogue is one prodigious young writer, I'll have y'all know. I want to commend him publicly for being a constant source of encouragement. Seeing the Lord work through young people (okay, people younger than I) is a blessing. Grace doesn't bat zero in any given generation.
Steve and Evan are hard to follow too. Being part of Steve's blog is like getting to help lead a class taught by one of the hardest professors in school. I'm glad we're on the same side.
Don't forget Alan K, the Calvinist Gadfly. He's in Boston these days, and he's not posting at the Tblogue at present, but I believe he's on the roster too. He shoulda moved down South with Evan and Steve and me. Way too cold up there, dude. And let's not forget about the Eric Vestrup, aka the Pedantic Protestant. He's playing grad student right now as well as teaching, so he's laying low. Seems most of us are busy here @ the first of the year.
May God bless each and every one of these guys and cause them to walk in His ways and keep His commandments and statutes with all their heart and soul.
This goes right along with a dear friend, 84 years old, who is a "died in the wool closed communion Baptist" who has often told me that Baptists are many but not much...
Woohoo. Hat Tip!
"Baptists are many, but not much."
LOL
I love it.
