BibleWorks 8 — the love goes both ways!

by Dan Phillips

I had to share this.

I'm in the process of learning BibleWorks 8 so that I can review the product (see BW7 review). As I do, I'm watching the instructive videos.

So I click on the one for the BW8 tool called Ermie (External Resources Manager). The instructor refers to websites and resources "that you typically open during the course of your study with BibleWorks."

And what is one of those resources featured in the tutorial video? I am not making this up:

There it is.

Over the Evangelical Textual Criticism blog, and the Greco-Roman coins blog.

And with no others!

(Can't stop grinning.)

I can't stop grinning, either. Congrats, pyro! I hope this gives you guys a refreshed sense of burden to propagate God's truth.

All kidding aside (well, almost all), to riff on Timothy Wonil Lee's comment, if you are being implicitly endorsed as a blog "that you typically open during the course of your study with BibleWorks"—even if it is only being used as an example in a training demo—then there is a burden here (albeit a very light burden—Matthew 11:30) that I know you already take very seriously, and pray that you will continue to take seriously.

I know I am still a sinner because I want to gloat -- even though I know for sure we're there because of Dan's review of BW previously.

So forgive me everybody for being who I am on the inside.

Congratulations! :D

On a side note: Is it really worth updating? I'm using Bibleworks 7 personally, and must say I'm very satisfied with it already. Is the gain of updating that great?

That's weird - in iMonk's review he said that the copy they sent HIM had HIS blog listed there. . .
