Oh Frank this one was just cruel. ;)
ouch
Fish in a barrel. A version of this conversation is actually happening in front of me. After yesterday 's messages, I pity these lads.
True life is stranger than fiction.
"I obviously don't get it." Just got this post a 5-star rating.
Who knew Keswick was coming back in vogue academically?
"There will be miracles...when you believe."
Also, the adult in me still says "Beleted!" every time I read any variation of delete. HSR, FTW.
Hey everybody! I want to write comments about a completely different topic and then get mad when centuri0n won't bend to my wishes and focus on the topic that I think is important!
Andrew Lindsey is a menace and must be stopped. Haha. Ha.
Love it. Made me think of this:
"So for the second time they called the man who had been blind and said to him, “Give glory to God. We know that this man is a sinner.” He answered, “Whether he is a sinner I do not know. One thing I do know, that though I was blind, now I see.” They said to him, “What did he do to you? How did he open your eyes?” He answered them, “I have told you already, and you would not listen. Why do you want to hear it again? Do you also want to become his disciples?” And they reviled him, saying, “You are his disciple, but we are disciples of Moses. We know that God has spoken to Moses, but as for this man, we do not know where he comes from.”-John the Apsotle
Frank, this post could have been just as funny/biting if the hoodie guy was you and Phil or Phil (one of those other guys around here knows Greek or something, right?) was the other one. "I think if I study enough to write another book, I will understand the Gospel better. Ha. Aha. Ha."
Or better, since you're all friendly and autography with Carl Trueman, he would have been happy to do a special guest video-blog. Anything to satisfy his underlings
You all need to be "gospeled."
Welcome to the newest crank term that is bandied about.
Hey, Frank, I think I may have termites in my house. I've called in several exterminators and they all proved to be facilitators of evil - each of them said there's no termites. But dude, I've seen the sawdust. I could link you to literally dozens of sites that deal with the trauma caused by termite infestation. So here's the deal:
Why has no one at TeamPyro blogged about my termite problem?
I mean, honestly guys, you're the ones with the big, powerful blog. I just can't imagine why you haven't responded to the general cry for an anti-termite crusade. Frankly (no pun intended), for you to go around posting trite little videos about the "gospel" when you so clearly don't care about it's implications is unspeakably offensive. Was that video meant to be a shot at me? "Don't live out the consequence of the gospel"? If that's your point, then what am I supposed to do about these termites? I think you, sir, are the one who "just doesn't get it."
In the name of all that's right and good, I denounce you and your shrinking, cowardly blog partners.
Sincerely,
Underling to the Underlings
P.S.
I just wanted to say that I posted all that very lovingly.
With Sincere Christian LOVE,
U to the U's
There are two people I didn't get to see at T4G which I regret:
1. Chad Mann, whom none of you know, because he spends his life doing things like ministry for reals, not blogging. Chad got sick at the last minute and couldn't make it. Please pray for Chad.
2. Tom Chantry, who is also sick, but not in a way that will every get better. May he never recovered from being Gospeled.
I didn't make Frank's short list... AGAIN!
-insert heart-felt weeping here-
@ Daniel,
That's only because he's seen your profile photo and is afraid to meet you. I mean, what if your hairline did that in person?
Loved the videos so far. Just got back from T4G. Love the whole "do you know any lost people" aspect. The two things God did for me this week was to reveal far too much idolatry in my own life (courtesy of Ligon Duncan's message, and the panel involving Carl Trueman), and then nailed me about this very thing...I am acquainted with far too many lost people in the area to which we just moved, and have been so focused on myself that I have shared the gospel with none. I'll never understand the mystery that is the preaching of the Word. It shames and restores us in the same breath.
I only miss people who have posts in the gadfly Queue
You only miss Neal? I thought he was there!
Tom, I visited Dan once. His hairline does do exactly that. I have not visited him again.
