Today-only: God's Wisdom in Proverbs for 60% off

by Dan Phillips

With budgets so tight, I thought this worth a word: today-only (until midnight), you can get a copy of God's Wisdom in Proverbs for 60% off at the Kress website. That means that, instead of the normal price of $24.99, you would pay only $10.

IN FACT, all of Kress' books are on sale for 60% off, today only.

I thought you'd want to know because a number of you pastors, leaders and teachers have found it useful. This would be great to buy copies for a class, or a late graduation gift, or a going-off-to-college gift. Or others of you whose curiosity has been piqued by reviews and Tweets from readers — taking the leap has just gotten a whole lot less costly.

But remember: only until midnight.

I would encourage people to seize this opportunity. This is a tremendous book on Proverbs. I just posted a link on Facebook.

Thanks, brother!

Chris (author of the excellent Unpacking Forgiveness, among others) was one of the book's endorsers.

Any other books you'd specifically recommend through this sale, Dan?

In addition to God's Wisdom in Proverbs, that is.

Jules, great question. I hope others will chime in. There are books on that list that I want to read, but just haven't gotten to yet.

However, one I do know and can recommend is John Kitchen's The Pastoral Epistles for Pastors.

Thank you, Dan. I'll hold off ordering till this afternoon and check back for more recommendations. I'd like to take advantage of the excellent prices.

Will this become available for a Kindle?

"James" by Will Varner is as highly technical as they get, but has some of the best outlines for preaching and teaching James in the appendixes you'll ever see.

I'm really upset that I read this post this morning (the 28th). I skipped my regular TeamPyro visit yesterday. I could have stocked up my evangelism toolbox with more TWTG's... Hmph. Next time maybe.

Scratch that. Kress publishers, not Kregal. Well, I could have actually bought God's Wisdom in Proverbs (still don't own it yet, but it's on my next list of books to buy). Anyway, lovely weather we're having....

It's a good book - very good considering the limited number of decent books on proverbs. Not a huge fan of the rick warren like use of multiple translations (including DJP's very own), but it is worth paying full price for if you missed out on the sale. Still not sure about Dan's "surprise" at the end of the book, but in the end even if he is wrong, it certainly is a concept worth considering.

Thanks for passing this info along; I was able to finally order my own hard copy. Can't wait to read it again. It was the best manuscript I've ever read! Looking forward to hopefully using it this year as God will allow opportunity. I'd love to be able to order a whole case.
