The Planned Parenthood fiasco: a few questions only we would ask

by Dan Phillips

I take it you're all familiar with the Planned Parenthood should-be PR nightmare. (If not, you could for instance check out Denny Burk's site, such as here and here and here.)

I won't add to or rehash all that. I just have a few observations presented as questions.
  1. Have pro-aborts shifted the threshold of abortability from viability to marketability?
  2. If what Planned Parenthood is selling is sold as human parts, then what was it that they killed?
  3. Given Planned Parenthood's presence in the body-marketing industry, should it be renamed "Planned Igorhood"?
  4. Or, since (A) the still-heard rationalization for abortion is "It's her body," and (B) Planned Parenthood is marketing the part of "her body" that they extracted, so that (C) Planned Parenthood, by its "logic" (?!) is selling women's bodies, should they be renamed "Planned Pimphood"?
  5. Since they are selling these poor victims as humans (even intact, God grant us repentance) does that signal a shift? That is, abortion was always premised on "It's not a human being until it's  born." Is it now, "It's not a human being until it's born...or aborted?"

Ponder those, and feel free to share profligately.

Notesee here, for a Biblical study regarding abortion.

Justification for sin outside of Christ always involves flawed rationale.

Pro aborts have been making fetal tissue available for biomedical research for decades aka marketing it. The mothers would sign a consent form acknowledging that their babies tissue would be used for research purposes, that they were not paid to become pregnant and abort and that they were not coerced. I always had the impression from the lectures I attended or papers I read where donated fetal tissue was used that it was obtained 'in house' from the schools obstetrics department but that was a long time ago. The scientist using the fetal tissue would usually pay a fee that covered any costs incurred while obtaining the fetus. It doesn't shock me to learn that Planned Parenthood has put their bloody fingers in this or that is has apparently evolved into an industry where fetal tissues can be ordered up on demand. Body parts from adult cadavers are sold the same way.

I cannot fathom how cynical Planned Parenthood must be to present itself as a charity, a sort of savior for women 'in need', who nevertheless charges fees for their services then sells the 'product'.

That's right, Mizz Harpy. You could add the "middle-man" brokers who net profits as well.

Let's be clear. PP has calculated what it costs them in time to harvest the organs. They pass that cost along to the recipient. PP hopes to break even! The profits from abortion would be decreased were they to donate their time harvesting the baby organs. If the recipients won't cover PP's costs, then PP will throw away those organs with the rest.

Planned Apartheid sounds appropriate, given the disproportionate number of black children killed.

I've always had one big question. If abortion is truly murder, then we have perhaps the biggest conspiracy the world has ever seen: That is, millions of women are killing their children in order for convenience. You want to find an abortion-related conspiracy? Go to any abortion clinic and just talk to the women there and find out why they're getting an abortion -- it's almost always convenience-related. So given this, I can't understand why we feel then need to go after more (yet substantially less-serious) dirt. Isn't what we have enough? Isn't it enough that they're killing babies? And if it isn't, then what kind of dirt can we ever get on them that will be enough?

If Michael's comment from 1:30 on July 21 is accurate, AND you watch the undercover videos, then one might conclude that the price of a new Lamborghini is included in the cost of "breaking even."

Paul, the reason to go after this particular dirt is because this dirt happens to have the attention of a fickle society right at this time. This is where the fight is. Got to make hay while the sun shines, so to speak.

"Let's be clear" - liberal speak for " please buy this lie, tho it flies in the face of all that is known so far"

Yes, you caught me. I'm on a campaign to convince you and the other readers of this blog that PP isn't profiting off of the sale of baby parts (when I know they are) because I find it a worthy endeavor. Drats, my effort of deception didn't work. I'd better rethink my strategy! Thank you, AmericanMe, for the feedback! And I, humbly, apologize to Dan for using his blog to further my extremist agenda.

Good thoughts bro. God have mercy on this nation. May we once again see human life as a God thing, and not a we evolved from worms thing.

I'm with Paul...all of these videos are disgusting and all, but the real fight begins with defining abortion as murder and showing why it is. And then looking at the fact that the main driver is "sexual freedom", not "reproductive rights". If reproduction was the issue, then we would see more people demanding insurance coverage for infertility treatment. It is the same as the SSM debate...people know it is wrong, but they want people to affirm them in their wrong choices so that they can ignore their conscience.
